At Waikerie Lutheran Primary School, we hold the belief that every child possesses an inherent curiosity and a passion for learning. We understand that their path to success is paved through encouragement in a nurturing setting. Our educational program aims to cultivate engaged and inquisitive learners. Our approach to learning, is supported by a transdisciplinary framework that transcends traditional boundaries, shaping both our teaching methods and students' learning experiences. This framework enables students to gain insights into real-world issues and themes.

WLPS Principles of Learning

Learning for Growth and Wellbeing: Our approach offers demanding learning opportunities that are personalized to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering their individual growth and well-being.

Building Strong and Caring Relationships: We build healthy and respectful relationships based on trust, open communication, and working together.

Equipping Learners for Success: Our students gain confidence to apply relevant skills, attitudes, and thinking abilities, ensuring success in their present and future.

Exciting and Meaningful Learning:  Our curriculum is designed to captivate students by concentrating on essential concepts and encouraging the inquisitive process, making learning both enjoyable and meaningful.

Provide Effective Assessment: Our assessment practices encourage students to think critically, reflect on their own learning, and take charge of their educational journey.
